Abstract:
In this paper we analyse the location dynamics of French agriculture from 1990 to 2006. We apply this analysis for the main agricultural sectors at the department level. We show that spatial dynamics are mainly related to region and not to agricultural sectors. We show also that agglomeration effects may exist between departments and led to form clusters. The "Grand Ouest" French region is the unique area which benefits from a local positive dynamic for several sectors of production.
