Abstract:
Formation and distribution of productivity gains in indian agriculture. - 1980-1996 Since the early 1980s, India has been self-sufficient in cereals thanks to the Green Revolution initiated fifteen years earlier and to the public support it received. This paper characterises the established situation and examines how it has evolved by using the Surplus Accounting Method which measures the formation and the distribution of productivity gains in the agricultural sector.
