Abstract: This paper seeks to identify the determinants of local farm households link with Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) in the vegetable sector in Morocco, through the local labor market, and if this link can induce a welfare gain among local households through access to additional income. Our study mobilizes a database designed from the quantitative surveys, conducted in 2011 among local farm households in Morocco. This study was based on a multidimensional approach of welfare gain. Recruitment of members of local households with IDE can developed in two main logics: i) a valorization of strong endowments family labor factor underemployed on household farms; ii) income maximization in order to deal with low income and profitability of agricultural production activities. This hiring may lead to economic welfare gain (income) combined with a slight improvement in social welfare (living conditions and non-agricultural productive assets) among the local households. This recruitment may be associated to significant growth in productive agricultural assets investments, in anchor logic of the local households in the agricultural sector.
