Marketing regulation of fruit-tree varieties in France

Abstract: Juste like for the majority of grown species, the permission for marketting the following species of fruit trees is submitted to previous agreement and listing in Catalogue officiel des variétés et des espèces cultivées en France : - Apricot, Almond, Cherry, Peach, Plum, - Pear, Apple - Nut, - Black currant, Raspberry, Red currand, - Strawberry, - Corresponding Rootstocks. The procedure of a new variety is consigned to the Comité Technique Permanent de la Sélection. Following the examination of that varieties, three decisions may be taken : - Refusal of enlistment ; - Study postpone for virus disease ; - Listing granted.
