Abstract: This work aims to examine the problem of instability of asymmetric alliances through the construction of the notion of dynamic and differentiated instability. It is based on the presentation of results descriptive statistics analysis of a sample of 105 cases of instability of strategic alliances between multinationals and local agribusiness firms in the Mediterranean, established between 1986 and 2006 as well as 6 case studies. The main results show a predominance of the strategy of the multinational as a main reason for asymmetric strategic alliances instability.
