Abstract:
The hospital have a central place in the French health system, its importance is both financial and sanitaire. From the Liberation onwards, it became the central element of the French health system and the public authorities invested significantly in it. The omnipotence of the hospital in the health system known as hospital-centrism from the 1980s onwards marks a phase of questioning which will lead the public authorities to experiment managerial techniques from the private sector in public hospitals. These methods will adversely influence both hospital operations and its staff.
