Abstract: Sport is a structuring factor of social and societal integration, in the context of the dynamics of economic, political, and cultural globalisation. International sports bodies have a significant influence in international diplomacy and sport is becoming a means of action and an instrument of foreign policy, thanks to the importance of its media coverage. Sport is a vector of communication and a language that conveys collective or individual values recognised by today's societies.
