Abstract: The scientific character of economics appeared only very late in the history of mankind. Even today, the debates are still very lively. Neo-classical, liberal or monetarist theories are still opposed to Keynesian thinking, development theories and Marxist thinking. Several models of the relationship between the state and the market in the process of globalization coexist, but Keynesian and Marxist schemes are in crisis.
