Abstract: Knowledge intensive business services (KIBS) play a central role regarding competitiveness of global economies. In this paper we propose a comprehensive model to assess KIBS competitiveness at the firm level. The model is composed of four intra-organisational dimensions, each with an internal and external focus: innovation, talent, relational capital and value proposition to the client. The model has been tested in 75 KIBS companies to determine the degree which these four dimensions are key features of competitiveness.
