Abstract:
In 1951, Marshall McLuhan published an iconoclastic book revealing evidence of the standardization of individuals through management and consumption. This essay is a convincing description of the effects of mass marketing. It paves the way for a method (the evidential paradigm) and a (critical) approach useful for today's researchers.
