Abstract: If the economy cannot do without philosophical reflection, it cannot monopolize it either. The notion of immaterial need is not very present in economic science, even though it constitutes an essential element of human life. In this context, globalization cannot in itself constitute a response to all the living conditions of individuals and communities. Liberalism is not a panacea. Economic theory cultivates its own version of reality, a relationship that does not maintain a necessary relationship with reality.
