Abstract:
Economists have often considered peace as a given. As a result, the economic analysis of international security is not very developed, especially in France. French defense economists are today undertaking new analyses on the relationship between military spending and economic growth, on the economic analysis of disarmament or the arms race, on the arms production system, on the impact of global armament on Third World countries and on the notion of economic warfare.
