Abstract:
Although the acquisition of entrepreneurial skills is at the heart of the current economic strategy, there is neither a reference methodology nor a systematic process to transform individuals into entrepreneurs. The purpose of this article is to appreciate the influence of the place on the acquisition of entrepreneurial skills, especially those of entrepreneurship spirit. We have chosen to study a distinctive case, which put the place and its context at the center of its learning system: the University of Strasbourg organizes each year, in collaboration with the Petru Maior University of Târgu Mureș in Romania, a seminar entitled « Boost your Entrepreneurial Skills in Transylvania » (BEST), for French, Romanian and Moldovan students. Through a detailed collection of quantitative and qualitative data specific to this seminar, we show that the place and its context have a direct influence on students' perception and acquisition of entrepreneurial skills.
