Abstract:
The present text is a general reflection of the concepts of Education, Peace, and Education for Peace. Therefore, the following are taken as references: the concept of Education adopted by Paulo Freire, a brief account of the history of peace studies, and the perspective of the concept of peace by several researchers such as Johan Galtung. All this to reaffirm and make visible the importance of Education for Peace in our societies and for us to participate in it. To be educated for peace means to be a subject that knows how to transform conflicts in order to strengthen human brotherhood. Therefore, peace is only possible if there is an individual change with collective effects.
