Abstract:
This article shows the historical background and the socio-cultural and legal factors that have enabled the establishment and the strengthening of the fideicomiso de Fomento Minero (FIFOMI), institution of federal public administration, focused on financing mining and its producing chain in Mexico. Based on concepts of institutional economics and organizational theory, a qualitative and ethnographic study on the culture, structure and processes of this expert system is proposed.
