Abstract: Considering that the links between learning and ambidexterity have not been taken into account and that academic contributions have focused mainly on exploration, this communication studies the links evoked by analysing the « learning networks » of a French firm, namely the SNCF. The results obtained from a strong process approach underline the complementarity between exploration and exploitation, the dynamic and not static treatment of these exploration and exploitation, the highlighting of their micro-foundations and discuss the constraining and enabling dimensions of organisations.
