Abstract:
Security is an essential element in the satisfaction of human needs and sustainable economic development. It is not limited to the protection of weapons, but also concerns all the human functions of production and the living conditions of citizens in a peaceful everyday world. With economic globalisation, the military character of international security is less privileged, but security is a subjective concept that often clashes with power relations between political and economic entities in the world. The feeling of national security sometimes implies the use of deterrent weapons, in the face of information warfare, the use of weapons (nuclear or conventional), or the instruments of cyber warfare. Conflicts between states do not disappear with economic globalisation; they take different and equally destructive forms with covert economic warfare and strategies of cognitive dominance. It is necessary in this century, in which man can destroy the planet he inhabits, to define a more human and egalitarian conception of economic security.
