L'Europe, le chômage et 1992
Jean-Paul Fitoussi
Post-Print from HAL
Abstract:
The major problem confronting Europe is mass-unemployment, which is in part due to the non-cooperative strategy pursued by the European countries. Will the prospect of 1992 help to solve both of these problems ? The answer is that nothing in the design of the «Great Market» addresses the question of macroeconomic policy coordination, although its implementation will greatly increase the unemployment cost of non-coordination.
