Abstract:
The development of innovative SMEs is a critical stage. Then, control can accompany them to manage their growth and make it profitable. Control has often been opposed to innovation. Recent scientific works tend to overcome this antagonism. The stakes are great, because innovation is a powerful engine of growth and this growth must be controlled from the perspective of the search for economic performance. Innovation needs specific control tools. We analyse the formal/informal nature of control, its evolutionary character and the relationships between the main tools of control and innovation.
