Abstract: This research looks into the impact of international mobility on the development of transversal skills among students involved in study or internships abroad. Drawing on work related to student-specific international mobility capital (consistent with the development of transversal skills), we conducted a quantitative longitudinal study (before and after the episode of mobility) with 393 students from the north of France. We highlight the positive and significant impact of international mobility on transversal skills, based within three areas: autonomy, leadership, and ability to deal with changes.
