Abstract: The objective of this research is to analyze the sustainability memories of Spanish museums and their suitability to the criteria of the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI). The memoirs of Thyssen-Bornemisza, Guggenheim Bilbao and Museo Nacional d'Art de Catalunya (MNAC) are examined. The results show differences between museums that had previously published memoirs and those that had not. It is concluded that the degree of compliance with the different GRI criteria is uneven
