Abstract:
This research article is based on the sacred and the profane theory in order to study the sacredness of the private wines cellar. More precisely, we study the role of conservation place in the construction of this sacred dimension. Through biographical narratives collect from wines cellar's owners or members of the owner family, this research reveals that a no access to a particular place can lead to a construction and preservation of a sacred character. Our results reveal also that a no access generate a rich imaginary and make think about the desacralisation following a disappointment defined by the difference between imaginary and reality. Finally, we question ourselves about meaning transfer from wine cellars to wine refrigerators.
