Abstract:
This study deals with the professionalisation of company leaders from an innovative point of view, that of the experiential and existential learnings acquired by the entrepreneur during their first years in this career. It is based on a narrative investigation on chief executive officers of companies specialised in organic cosmetics. The collected data are analysed in the theoretical context of the biographical construction of learnings. The results show that the professionalisation of the company leader happens differently according to their personal story. The professionalisation has an existential dimension as the process requires a discovery of self and of the entrepreneur's relationship with the world.
