Abstract: After the SORT (Strategic Offensive Reduction Treaty) agreement, Russia decided to significantly increase its military budgets in order to provide Russia with a military and nuclear deterrent force. However, the financial means made available to the armies remain limited and risk being reduced with the army conscription end proposal. Similarly, the military-industrial complex has lost its importance and influence, which limits Russia's potential for military power in the longer term.
