Abstract:
The purpose of this article is to analyze the forces that influence the implementation of total traceability in a supply chain and to identify the factors that explain the evolution of the related traceability system. This research that combines logistics, information system and strategy, is based on a longitudinal case study done by the authors in the fresh-pack cheese industry from 1999 to 2008.
