Abstract:
While efforts to develop international cooperation in the area of trade are important, they are mainly focused on the creation of common markets and customs unions with a view to economic integration in the more or less long term. However, if the will to build homogeneous economic blocs has always been present, the international organizations created for this purpose in Asia, Africa and South America have not obtained the results that their ambitions demanded.
