Abstract:
Commonly regarded as one of the paths to globalisation, the bilateral and regional trade treaties that have proliferated over the past two decades are less pro-trade than they appear. The fiasco of the mega-agreements demonstrates that they are not a solution to the crisis of multilateralism.
