Abstract:
This paper is a review article of papers gathered in a special issue of the Revue de l'OFCE entitled ‘Industrial Dynamics, Productivity and Growth' published in June 2006. It aims at presenting these papers and underlining to what extent they contribute together at a better understanding of the growth process driven by technical and organisational changes. As a matter of fact, economic performance depends not only on the technical properties of production processes but also on the state and evolution of industrial structures. This is the reason why it is worth considering the evolutionary dimension of structural changes in relation with the determinants of productivity.
