Abstract:
In the economic analysis of ecology, three themes are privileged. First, economists have proposed the internalization of environmental damage in the economic calculation, which raises the specific problem of the time horizon chosen for this purpose. Then, the crisis of the economy raises new questions about the notion of profit, power, civilization and the defense of collective interests in all territories and for all generations. Finally, ecology has given rise to new reflections on the finalities of man and the opposition between constrained economic activities and the individual and collective interest of each man. A new analysis of the needs and their relations with the goods must be engaged.
