Abstract:
This communication presents the symbolic clustering methods and R packages for interval data with applications to conditional quantile estimates of production costs in agriculture. The interval data clustering tools are used to obtain typologies of European countries on the basis of the conditional quantile distributions of agricultural production cost empirical estimates. used to determine optimal partitions along with various criteria. Statistical tests are demonstrated to find the optimal partition.
