Abstract:
Most Mexican children exposed to the international migration of their fathers experience further changes in their living arrangements. A large share of them is exposed to the separation of their parents, and/or to the co-residence with their maternal grandparents. These changes have important implications for the analysis of the effects of migration and remittances on the individuals left behind.
