Abstract: We propose to show how the theoretical framework of Institutional Analysis (IA) and the approach of institutional socio-clinics (ICS) can be used as a basis for training students coming from or preparing for management positions in the social intervention sector, in and through research. The analysis of the professional and student implications of these "hybrid" students, in permanent tension between training and professional activities, is the main theme of the article.
