Abstract: This article questions the trajectory of a Third Place, which brings together, with some success, "protagonists" with diverse concerns, around innovation projects. We explore the conditions of this apparent success. In seeking to grasp the info-communicational dynamics of Plateau Fertile, we collected data from a series of field observations in 2018 accompanied by 12 interviews. The data analysis established distinctive value-ethics at the heart of a community of mutual-aid, focussed on collaborative-cooperative innovations. These values-ethics (Trust, Liability, Engagement), seem to affect the perceived-risk, when faced with uncertain situations. The analysis also puts a spotlight on the major role of digital use in the social dynamics of such a Third Place. These observations have led us to formalise, in a novel way, perceived-risks as a key to successful collaborative-cooperative practices that promote industrial innovation.
