Abstract:
Regulators see organizational innovations as the cornerstone of health system transformation. The introduction of Advanced Practices in hospitals is one such organizational innovation. The organizational challenge comes from the questioning of the traditional professional boundaries between nurses and doctors which arises from the introduction of an advanced practice. Intervention research carried out within a hospital service allowed us to observe and support the process of integration of an Advanced Practice Nurse. Based on the sociology of translation and the polyphonic change management principles, our research makes it possible to identify the factors facilitating the translation process : adaptability of management tools, manager's roles and resources based relational proximities.
