Abstract:
Our comparative study analyses the required skills in the recruitment of a supply chain manager in two European countries, Romania and France. Does the cultural proximity of the two countries lead to similar expectations regarding the skills of the supply chain manager? Is there coordination on a European level regarding the required skills for this position? In this exploratory study, we conduct qualitative research based on information collected from job ads published in France and Romania. The comparative analysis of recruitment announcements led us to conclude that the job description of a supply chain manager is built on a common base, regardless of the country, to which specific characteristics are added based on the local recruitment context.
