Abstract: The medicosocial sector is greatly affected by the deployment of management tools that are far removed from the specific practices of nursing staff (Kanold et al. 2008). We chose the framework of the theory of proximity to analyse the failure of the deployment of ISO 9001 in a medico social institution. The result shows the impact of the lack or excess of the proximity criteria on the appropriation of the tool.
