Abstract:
This article invites to enter the black box of start-up innovation. Using Effectuation developed by Sarasvathy (2008) and the Maussian approach to gift/couter-gift, its aim is to to rethink effectuation through the prism of gift/counter-gift to understand start-up innovation. We have chosen to focus on a single case study: a French Tech 120 start-up which has developed an innovation that is unique in the world. The results allow us to identify five principles resulting from these two theoretical approaches.
