Abstract:
The number of fishing firms decreased by 45% between 1990 and 2010 (Leblond et al., 2012). In this difficult economic environment, the firms face the depletion of fish stocks, the rising of production costs and decreasing profitability. These firms implement various management tools to improve their performance and to anticipate the risk of failure. The objective of this paper is to highlight that a fishing company needs to define biological indicators for developing growth strategies and prevent difficulties
