Abstract: France has implemented numerous coordination mechanisms in order to compensate for the discrepancy between historically compartmentalized practices within the health system and the transversal needs of chronically ill patients. It is a real multi-professional and comprehensive approach to health care courses that is expected. However, the collective and coordinated exercise remains in the minority in France, in particular in the practices of general practitioners. Our work aims to better understand how general practitioners use coordination support. To do this, we conducted a case study with 14 users of a territorial support platform. Our results show first of all, that the doctors are ambiguous with regard to the working methods and cooperation with the coordination mechanism, by limiting the latter to the role of provider through the delegation of ad hoc tasks. Then we updated the ambiguity of general practitioners about the purposes of the device. The latter hybridize their need to be supported in tasks considered complex and in support of complex pathways). Finally, we shed light on the ambiguity of physicians towards their own role in the coordination of health care pathways by showing the acceptance of delegating tasks that they themselves consider as not falling within their prerogatives or incompatible with their constraints
