Abstract:
The paper tells the story of an episode through which "economic sciences" went in Strasbourg in the early 1970s. Within the dynamics fostered in the universities by the 1968 Faure law, economics quitted the law department and entered as an independent department into a university of natural sciences. This institutional autonomy favored an analytical approach in economics teaching and research, and triggered the creation of a laboratory driving the renewal of scientific activity.
