Abstract:
This literature review aims to analyze the theoretical and managerial issues of the decisions and management of strategic alliances in microfinance. The analysis reveals that the reasons behind engaging in an alliance strategy in microfinance are identical to those of conventional firms. However, the management of financial alliances for inclusion presents unique characteristics for partner selection, negotiation, formalization, management, and performance assessment.
