Abstract:
The aim of this article is to understand, during the emergence period of the function, the risk manager's position in the organization. An analysis framework built from works on functional services allowed us to study it within two dimensions: client, authority. The analysis realized from interviews conducted in thirteen firms, identifies the individual or the group that there are looking for, identifies their authority-grade in the decision and the factors of this authority, and suggests to explain it through the issue of legitimacy.
