Abstract: Based on a single case study, this communication questions logistical resilience in situations of devolved decision-making among state institutions. The analysis of the French Gendarmerie response to Storm Alex (Alpes-Maritimes, fall 2020) allows us to enrich our understanding of the different dimensions of supply chain resilience (design, collaboration, agility, culture). Among other results, the case reveals the difficulties of intra-organizational coordination and highlights the virtues of training and organizational cohesion of individuals and teams.
