Abstract:
Information Systems (IS) occupy now a major position in corporate strategies and they still need and mobilize considerable amounts of resources. It thus looks normal and necessary to carry out evaluations of these IS. This article offers to accomplish a state of art in the issue of IS evaluation. First, it is relevant and essential to situate the evaluation theme in the research field of IS while focusing on the main questionings to follow for any evaluation. In a second step, the variance and processual theoretical approaches allowing IS evaluation will be presented. It lastly is important to focus on the impact of the emblematic models used in IS evaluation, the Delone et Maclean model's (1992, 2003) and Davis et al. (1989) model's.
