Abstract: This paper provides a systematic literature review of innovation and luxury research. Using the Web of Science platform, this study went from a data set of 608 documents to 27 connected articles identified with a citation analysis conducted using the VOSviewer software. In-depth content analysis reveal that innovation and luxury can be juxtaposed around ten clusters: (1) the luxury smart retailing; (2) the structural change in the luxury fashion industry; (3) Luxury brands in an international market; (4) the development of new strategies for innovative luxury brands; (5) the emergence of luxury hybrid products; (6) the online and offline pricing strategies; (7) the role of identity mechanisms on teenagers and young adults' attitudes; (8) the co-creation of products by luxury fashion brands' consumers; (9) the social media advertising; and (10) the regulatory focus in luxury online service. In addition, this study develops an ADO (Antecedents, Decisions, and Outcomes) framework of the current state of the field advancing a reasoning logic and valuable knowledge for researchers and practitioners.
