Abstract:
This article aims to confront a set of analyses that have been developed over the last 30 years in the field of natural resources management, and more specifically in the water management sector. After having reported on the way the conceptual debate is structured nowadays - through repeated references to the notions of ‘ natural capital' and ‘ common good' -we will introduce the concept of ‘common patrimony to highlight the need to jointly deal with allocation and governance of natural resources.
