Abstract:
This chapter focuses on the meso approach of RT, highlighting what is implicitly mesoeconomic from its origin. The purpose of meso approach is to describe the regularities of social arenas with relative autonomy while being structured by their relationship with other meso spaces and with the accumulation regime. The meso approach recognizes the variety within a regime; it also pays attention to alternative regulations, and to the role that players can play, thus integrating a micro level. We propose a framework for methodologically arming applied economics work. Finally, we highlight the meso-macro dialectical nexus that illuminates the formation of regimes.
