Abstract: The article presents an exploratory study of the cultural production and imaginaries of creators and artists in the worlds of VRChat. We question the criteria used by creators to design the development of their environmental storytelling and their impact on the social interactions of VRChat users. We use a mixed methodology which includes semi-structured interviews and analyzes of exchanges during workshops. The results indicate that VRChat audiences are rarely mentioned spontaneously, but their existence is mentioned on two points: the actions and traces they can produce in the digital environment, as well as their difference in attitude according to their familiarity with the platform.
