Abstract: This research aims to determine the coping adopted by nursing staff at nursing homes to manage their stress at work when they are confronted with threats to their resources. Using a qualitative analysis and a theoretical framework based on conservation of resources (COR) theory, we identified three types of strategies: exploratory, defensive and investment. Thus, we deduce managerial implications in terms of occupational health prevention for nursing homes managers.
