Abstract:
The objective of this research is to question the general nature of technostress models and to focus on how people evaluate stressful situations. In particular, this article deals with the impact of organizational mechanisms on the evaluation of technostress. A model is proposed based on previous researches. It consists of nine technostress appraisal dimensions and three technostress inhibitor dimensions to explain burnout. It was tested with structural equation modeling (SEM) using SmartPLS. Results support significant effects of organizational practices on technostress ratings.
